First-time parent/teacher? Veteran caregivers of multiple children? It does not matter when it comes to a child's own unique development. Welcome to JuJuBeans where we are determined to help parents and educators of young children navigate the whirlwind of questions flowing through your 2:00 AM mind!
Every child is born as a blank slate. Every Child is born READY TO LEARN. A newborn's brain will double in size in the first year and keeps growing to about 80% of adult size by age three and 90% — nearly full-grown — by age five!
"Is my child saying as many words as he should? Are these tantrums normal? Why will she not look at me? Should I be reading to my baby? I cannot go out to dinner, my child will not behave. How do I manage circle time in preschool? Should I send my child to preschool?"
About Dr Judy Pennington
Judy started her career in Early Childhood as a teaching assistant for preschoolers. She has since then acquired her Bachelors in Communication Disorders, Masters in Early Childhood Special Education and Doctorate in Education. She is passionate about child development and the uniqueness of each family's approach in promoting their child's growth. Becoming a mother herself has been a humbling experience and has motivated her to not only support individual children but also to advocate for the parents and educators working with young children with or without disabilities.
Judy loves to travel and has taught abroad in Thailand, Austria and the United Kingdom. Native to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, she enjoys camping, water sports, skiing and playing volleyball!

I provide services virtually through platforms such as Zoom, FaceTime, or Microsoft Teams. I am happy to accommodate in-person visits within a 30-mile radius of Colorado zip code: 80107.

Open the Can
After your initial intake form has been received I want you to get set, grab the can opener and express yourself! This first session might include;

Full Developmental Assessments Covering 5 Areas of Development (Cognitive, Adaptive, Physical, Communication and Social/Emotional) for children birth to age 5.

A much lighter approach to evaluations; you bring the conversation and I will bring the coffee!

Preschool Educators - lets brainstorm together and find ways to support you and your classroom!
Spill the Beans
You have taken the first brave step in raising or educating young children; asked for help or found reassurance in your own parenting style. So now what? The next session(s) might include;

Working together to contact your local Child Find team (If your child is three years or younger and qualifies, you could receive Early Intervention services for FREE!)

Get the ball rolling on targeted strategies making every day routines more enjoyable, or at the very least more tolerable.

Weigh in on the pro's and con's of preschool and find the perfect location for you!

Connecting you with local resources that meet the needs of your family as a whole!
