Dr. Judy Pennington is a whole-child developmental specialist, children’s book author, and (often overwhelmed) parent who is passionate about supporting children in the first five years of life.
Through her work, she helps turn complex child development—like speech, communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation—into simple, real-life strategies that parents and educators can actually use.JuJuBeans was created to bridge the gap between therapy-based knowledge and everyday life.Not by adding more to your plate…but by showing you how to use what you’re already doing—reading, playing, connecting—to support your child’s development in meaningful ways.

Discovering Our Talking Tools Felt Set!
Little hands. Playful sounds. Meaningful connection. Discover the talking tools that help us make sounds, share ideas, and connect with the people we love! The JuJuBeans Discovering Our Talking Tools Felt Set brings sound exploration into children’s hands with pieces representing an open mouth, a closed mouth (lips), a tongue, teeth, and our voice. Together, children and their grown-ups can explore these talking tools, notice how they work, and play with the sounds they help us make.
Arrange the pieces, name your talking tools, try a silly sound, and notice what your own mouth is doing! Whether you’re sharing a quiet moment at home or exploring sounds with a preschool group, the felt set invites curiosity, conversation, and playful back-and-forth learning.
This felt set is a wonderful hands-on companion to the first edition of JuJuBeans: Learning New Sounds, available now. These books introduce children to individual letter sounds and the talking tools we use to make them, weaving in sensory exploration, early concepts, feelings, and vocabulary along the way. Use the felt pieces as you read together to explore the talking tools featured in each book, try the sounds, and give little hands an active role in the learning.

Connecting and Learning Through Letter Sounds: Includes an introduction to each of our talking tools—our mouth, lips, tongue, teeth, and voice—helping children discover what each one does and how they work together to make speech sounds. A–Z learning experiences then explore the specific talking tools used for each letter sound, while bringing together vocabulary, sensory exploration, movement, feelings, and early concepts.
Beyond the Sound: Includes companion play pages that extend each letter’s learning through hands-on activities, art, sensory play, pretend play, music, counting, and more. These purposeful play experiences give children and their grown-ups more ways to practice, explore, and connect!
The complete Talking Tools Set also includes a mirror, whisper phone, and interactive felt talking face with removable pieces.

On our YouTube channel, you’ll find playful preschool lessons designed to support learning, connection, and early communication. Our channel is also growing to include a video series for each book from A–Z, showing how to use the materials, explore our talking tools and articulators—like the mouth, lips, tongue, teeth, and voice—and create meaningful, engaging learning experiences. Our original JuJuBeans alphabet series uses a little silliness and a lot of play to help children discover how their mouths make each sound, building communication skills and confidence along the way.
